Book Review: Quantum Touch, The Power To Heal, by Richard Gordon

Quantum Touch - The Power To Heal teaches the simple method of Quantum Touch hands-on healing. After only fifty-five pages, the reader is ready to try his first session. That’s how fast it can happen, once you learn and apply the simple techniques of Quantum Touch.
Author Richard Gordon explains that energy healing practitioners are not the ones doing the healing. He wrote:
“No one can really heal anyone else. The person in need of healing is the healer. The practitioner simply holds a resonance to allow the body to heal itself.” (p.26)
Quantum Touch uses love and intention along with breathing patterns and conscious awareness of energy flow, to raise the vibration in a practitioner’s hands. When the energy healing practitioner places his hands next to a client, the client’s energy starts to vibrate at the same rate, causing healing to take place. Author Richard Gordon explains how this works in a chapter on resonance and life force energy.
After giving the basics for beginners, the book suggests techniques for intermediate and advanced energy healing practitioners. There are sections of the book where Gordon answers typical questions asked during his Quantum Touch workshops. Also included are chapters on healing pets, distant healing, and fitness.
To be able to give Quantum Touch sessions to friends and family, all one needs to do is read the book and follow the directions. That’s where I’m at with this now. However if one wants to become a Certified Quantum Touch Practitioner there’s a list of things that must be done first — including attendance at two Quantum Touch workshops and sixty hours of documented healing sessions.
My goal is to become certified in Quantum Touch and several other healing modalities including Reiki and EFT (Emotional Freedom Techniques) and to start a healing practice within a few years.
