The Religion of Love
The essence of all religious learning is love, yet there are many dogmas in the world. All religions point in the same direction. Unfortunately people tend to get bogged down by administrative aspirations and dogmatic, inflexible opinions, and the need to make others think their way is the only valid one. If you’re involved with an organized religion I urge you to go beyond the strict teachings and to recognize the inner essence of love in your spiritual beliefs.
We were created through the mystical transmutation of earth and energy (Spirit), into living material beings. We are children of Mother Earth and Father Spirit (Divine Energy). We’re encouraged to regognize and love the Spirit because at first, perhaps, He is the less visible, and we are already well aware of Mother Earth, though we may not be aware of her divine nature.
Religions were formed to bring our awareness to the Spirit that animates us and every other living thing. Gaining an awareness of this Spirit is a second birth.
Mother Earth (the material world) is not evil; she just is. She gave birth to us and we should revere her, just as we revere Father Spirit (Divine Energy; God). Both are here to help us in their own ways. The union of Mother and Father created us, and through us the Spirit of Love should be spread, just as healing essences come from herbs and flowers. Our purpose is to bring forth love — and therefore many of us have recognized that love is our religion.
