There are many methods that can be used to end pain and suffering; how will your energy therapist know which to use when? Chances are, your healer will use intuition as a guide. Intuitive healing is the name given for judging what to do in a medical situation by using inner insight and wisdom rather than through intellectual analysis. Intuitive healers not only know enough about how energy therapy works to be able to practice it, they are confident that their insights are valid and are not afraid to act on them.
For example when working on someone with pain in their neck I may start by running Reiki energy into the afflicted place, then add Quantum Touch, then decide that a section on the back of the head needs energy attention, then move to another place that I sense may be affecting the neck problem. I might add some EFT to all this, to clear energy meridian blockages. I will proceed by what I feel is right for the patient; doing this is what I call intuitive healing; my ability to do this has been gained from many years of experience with my intuition, and confidence in my ability to do the right thing using energy healing methods.
All this doesn’t mean a client shouldn’t also consult a medical doctor; I am all in favor of using traditional medicine where needed. But running energy into the site of pain can and often does alleviate the situation. It helps a person use their body and spirit’s natural tendencies to heal. People can heal themselves, and energy healing practitioners enhance their abilities to do so by directing energy, the positive chi, to the right places.

Tonight while my boyfriend was using my computer I lay on my bed and gave myself Reiki while listening to an audio recording of The Tenth Insight by James Redfield, the follow-up book to The Celestine Prophecy. In his book he wrote about birth visions. Intrigued, I turned off the tape to meditate on what my birth vision was.
I looked at my birth family to figure out why I’d want to be born to them, then started having a vision that may have been a past life experience. In my vision I saw myself as an unhappy young Native American woman. In one section of my vision my hands were bound. I felt myself laying against the ground, feeling downtrodden. I realized I was in a group of natives being relocated, and unfortunately, I didn’t make it to wherever I was going. I felt totally unloved and unwanted, by anyone. So then I went back to my birth family and saw, first of all, a little girl there. I would have a sister if I was born to this family, and that excited me. It was the first thing that attracted me to the situation. Then I saw how the parents, especially the father, gave this girl lots of love and affection, and I wanted that. I wanted to be in a family that would love me, want me, and care about me.
Beyond that, I couldn’t see any reason for wanting to be in that family, and I questioned again, meditating on what my purpose in this life might be. I wondered why I have such a propensity for putting myself into situations where I’m helping people… just as I am with this energy therapy endeavor, and other things I do. My attention was diverted to another vision where I saw myself as a very young boy - about seven or eight - whose parents sold him to a slave trader. I was told via clairaudience that it happened in 13th century Persia. I was abused by the slave traders and taken to the court of a person who I identified as a king. The king said, “he isn’t one of mine” and said I must go to work. I was forced to work in a dark place that seemed like a dungeon or cellar, alongside other men, shoveling what I think may have been coal for winter heating fuel. Next I saw myself being executed for having led or participated in an uprising. I’d tried to help the people I worked with find freedom from this forced labor. So in this way I was told that I always wanted to help others. It is a part of who I am now.
I continued my Reiki, and considered how even though I chose my birth family for the feeling of being loved and wanted, I still didn’t feel 100% loved and wanted. I never have, even though both my parents are decent, kind, loving people, and always have been. Then I realized I had this lack in my energy body in the front of my head, in the area just over my third eye. I placed my hands there and sent Reiki and Quantum Touch energy, and healed myself. Then I felt massively loving, and realized it was what I’d been looking for. Through clairaudience I heard these words: “You are the love you give. That is how your soul gains power, strength and beauty.” And I realized this is a message I need to share with my energy healing.

I’ve been experimenting on charging water with life force energy. The idea came from the Quantum Touch book I’ve been reading.
I normally use distilled water for drinking. It has a clear, cold, crisp taste that I love, straight from my refrigerator. This afternoon I took a sip, then spent a few minutes sending healing energy into the water. Afterward I immediately noticed that the water tasted much softer and not nearly as cold. I tried this several times using both glass and crystal cups, with the same results.
I think it is a good idea for getting positive chi/healing energy into our systems. It is easy to do for self-healing or to help energize a friend. Since our physical bodies are 70% water, if we continually ingest charged water it is sure to be thoroughly distributed into all our cells and organs before long. Charged water could also be a good way to give healing energy to sick pets.
Richard Gordon, author of Quantum Touch: The Power To Heal, wrote that he likes to end energy therapy sessions by offering charged water to his clients. People he gave this water to have called it ’silkier’, ’softer’, ’smoother’, and ‘better tasting’. (See pages 206-207 in the book.)
If you’ve seen the photos of water crystals by Dr. Masaru Emoto, you know that he scientifically proved that the structure of water can be changed radically by impressing various thoughts on it. His Project of Love and Thanks to Water is intended to change the character of water throughout our entire planet.
We can send healing light and love energy into water while meditating on our heart chakras and using green light. Or if we wanted to emphasize something else, we could choose another chakra to meditate on while sending energy. For example, meditating on the third eye and sending amethyst-shaded light while charging the water could help the recipient develop psychic energy. This use of various colors of light while concentrating on corresponding chakras is all conjecture on my part, but it inspires me to move on with my experiments.

If we want to help raise the planetary vibration, we must start by raising our own. In other words, if we want to make the world a happier, safer, more humane place to live, we must start by changing the way we ourselves think, and how we interact with others.
This thought came to me last night as I was washing dishes, something I do every evening just before retiring to my bedroom for computer time. It was one of those brainstorms that came from out of nowhere, but begged to be written about.
I realized I’d had a consciousness-raising experience a few days ago when I participated in an energy healing session. I was running energy into a friend who was experiencing pain using the methods I’ve been learning by reading Quantum Touch: The Power to Heal by Richard Gordon. As we did this, we listened to one of my friend’s CDs, Music for Reiki and Meditation by Shajan. It was intensely peaceful and the session went well, lasting for about half an hour.
While I was running the energy, which is to be done with love and intention to help the other person heal, I experienced moments of intense love transferring with the energy. As I meditated on my breath and energy transfer, the love grew and became stronger. Not only did Quantum Touch help alleviate my friend’s pain, it caused a major shift in my own vibration and capacity to give love. Later in the day he noticed that another problem he’d been having that day was also gone. Though Quantum Touch practitioners direct energy toward a specific affected body part, the energy will travel to wherever it is most needed, and I believe that’s what happened in this session.
As I was thinking about this and washing dishes tonight I realized I’d read something about mutual self-improvement recently. In Education and the Significance of Life, J. Krishamurti wrote that in “helping the student towards freedom, the educator is changing his own values also; he too is beginning to be rid of the ‘me’ and the ‘mine,’ he too is flowering in love and goodness. This process of mutual education creates an altogether different relationship between the teacher and the student.”
A relationship between an energy therapy practitioner and the client is similar. There’s a process of mutual improvement. One cannot help someone else without being helped oneself. There’s a lesson to be learned every time we give of ourselves to help another person. When we take time out of our day to sit with another human being, transferring love and energy, we bring the light into ourselves as energy flows through like a river.
By running energy with love and intention, the practitioner’s love vibration is enabled. Like a light turned on, some of the darkness of this world dissipates. Clarity is brought into focus. Shadows recede. It affects not only the participants of a healing session, but anyone around them. The planetary vibration will be raised, and everyone can benefit from these efforts.
…
Disclaimer: I’m only halfway through reading the book by Richard Gordon, and don’t want to misrepresent his healing technique. What you just read was my personal impression after studying, learning to run energy, and giving my first Quantum Touch session. I’m still taking baby steps here. Though I’ve done intuitive healing for many years, this past year is the first time I’ve tried harnessing my healing energies by learning techniques like Quantum Touch and EFT (Emotional Healing Techniques). I have a lot yet to learn. If you want a clearer impression of what Quantum Touch is like, you can read the book, which I bought through Amazon, or you could go to the Quantum Touch website for more information.
