I keep refining the purpose of this blog, and as I do it I see I’m looking for more authentic ways to just be me. Me and my blog - a natural fit which I seem to think needs to please other people just because it is on the internet. But must it? Seriously, is it wrong to have a blog that mainly pleases just me?
I’ve done a lot of internet writing over the last ten years. Much of it has been to try to fill the needs of other people. I resist posting for my own edification. It is too public! But this blog is a very deep, personal journey from spiritual seeking to finding, to seeking for more, understanding deeper truths, and sharing. What I most want to share is the authentic spiritual seeking that goes on behind my outward appearance. I want to share the spirit of spiritual service that combines with everything else that is me.
No two seekers will be the same, but we have similarities. Everyone is unique, but tied to the cosmic adventure of being human. I can speak only from my perspective, and admire the spiritual seeking perspectives of others. Sometimes they inspire me, and send me off in new directions.
Today’s thought is simply this - to be oneself, to appreciate the joy within oneself.
An affirmation for this: “I am unique and able to share my authentic self.”
Yesterday as I wrote my morning pages my mind turned into a spiritual direction of prayer and healing for the world. I gathered my journaling into a lens called Prayer for Healing the World. My idea is that we can pray for those that oppress us and in healing them, the world will become healed. Please join me in trying this . . .
This is a collection of dowsing and pendulum healing resources:
I learned a lot about pendulum dowsing this year, using it for everything from changing energetic fields from negative to positive, to predictions. I correctly predicted who would win the US presidential election even before he won the primary election! Of course the most important task is dowsing healing.
Since dowsing has become a big part of my healing and spiritual practice, I’ve put together the following resource on dowsing.
If anyone still believes that you can ask pendulums only yes or no questions, you really should learn more about it from Raymon Grace. I never really understood how powerful a tool pendulum dowsing can be for healing until I watched his videos.
There’s a very useful dowsing chart in the free e-book, A Letter to Robin (backtrack to the last paragraph if you skipped that one.) That chart should fill the needs of every beginner. However when you feel the need to go beyond that, you can find an outstanding book of dowsing charts at Amazon: Pendulum Charts: Knowing Your Intuitive Mind. I purchased this book a few months ago and find it to be very useful. There are 49 charts in this book, plus one blank that you can use for any purpose that fits your needs. The pre-designed charts are all half-circles, which I prefer to full-circle charts. The charts available in this book: Master Chart, Alphabetical-Numerical, Yes/No Percentage Chart, Quantity Factor, Time Factor, Vitamins Chart, Essential & Trace Minerals Chart, Amino Acids Chart, Tissue Salts Chart, Food Supplements Chart, Anti-Oxidants Chart, pH Acid/Alkaline Chart, Enzymes For Digestion Chart, Herbal Remedies Charts (three of them), Flower Essence Remedies Charts (two of them), Nutrition and Food Allergies Chart, and many others including chakras and even automobile diagnosis! This book is printed on heavy card stock and the covers are water resistant.
There’s another pendulum chart book, Practical Pendulum Book: With Instructions for Use and 38 Pendulum Charts. I haven’t purchased this one yet but I looked through the preview section on Amazon and saw that it has a lot of charts that are different from the charts in the book I purchased. For example there’s a chart to help a person choose a profession, and another chart for help in deciding what to do during a holiday vacation.
Pendulum
Do you need a good pendulum? I bought this kit a while back. I never used the cards and book that came with it, but the little silver pendulum was my favorite until one day last summer when I took a trip to Mt. Shasta and lost my little pendulum. Thankfully I was in MT. SHASTA which has lots of metaphysical bookstores. First I drove to the top of the mountain again to see if I could find my silver pendulum, but it was gone. So I drove down to the little town of Mt. Shasta and fortunately got into a store just before it closed, and bought two gorgeous pendulums - one for me and an identical pendulum for my significant other, Bob.
Anyhow, if you need a pendulum you could either drive to Mt. Shasta and look to see if you can find mine, or just buy this pendulum dowsing kit. The little silver pendulum is awesome. Bob and I have talked about buying another.
This page is my permanent resource page for dowsing healing and especially pendulum healing. Whenever I find more resources worth sharing, I’ll post them here.
“Face piles of trials with smiles…” - Moody Blues, from In The Beginning.
A lot of our difficulties, whether they be spiritual, mental, emotional, or physical, come from having bad attitudes. If we’re often thinking negative things about the world we live in and the people who share this world with us, it is bound to darken our auras and have a negative effect on us. In fact, our negative thoughts about other people or events have a far greater impact on us than on anyone else. And if there really is someone out there trying to make us miserable, the only way to escape from that misery is to rise above it by thinking good and positive things, feeling spiritually exalted, and not allowing ourselves to be sucked into the pit of despair. This is what I speak of when I write about attitude healing.
A long time ago, in December 1990, I was homeless - a single mother with two babies ages 7 months and 19 months, and a seventeen year old. I was an escapee from a relationship in which I was battered. I left an extremely bad housing situation hoping to find something better, and was without a home for over a month. At the same time one of my neighbors who had become a close friend did the same thing. She had a four year old son at that time. We stayed in hotels and some nights I even stayed in my car. We both applied for new rentals and hers became available sooner than mine did. She offered to let me stay with her until my rental was ready since she knew I was in as deep a financial bind as she was.
Everything went well for us for a few days until Christmas Eve, and then the stress got to be too much for my friend, and she started yelling at me because she didn’t like living with my teenager. I quickly gathered my things, not knowing where I’d take my three children, and prepared to leave her home since that’s what she wanted. Before I left I turned to her wondering what to say, then suddenly felt the cares of the world lift off of me. Suddenly my heart was flying above the situation. I honestly felt like a white bird flying through the sky, filled with compassion and love. I expressed that love to her in the kindest words I could manage, acknowledging her stress and prior hospitality, and promising my friendship was still available when she was ready for it. (And yes, we did continue as friends in the months to come.)
That moment wasn’t the first time I’d experienced that “flying above” feeling of loving despite the hostile expressions of others, but it is the time I always think back to - the time I remember as my most conscious moment of emerging from the web of emotional entanglement into the freedom of spiritual, world-embracing, unconditional love.
I thereby challenge you to allow yourself to be filled with love no matter what terrible things are happening in the world or in your life. You will free yourself from stress and negativity as the healing joy of blissful love permeates your being and gives you the peace you need for health and well-being.
Last night in my dream I had images of flooding. I was visiting a large group of people who lived in an apartment which was part of a series of old Victorian-style apartments on a river bank. I was up one tier, and the river kept rising to the level of my car which was parked outside on the street.
I ran outside to the car, and after some fumbling with keys, losing the needed ones, I managed to get my car parked on the crest of the hill. I ran back downhill - I think I had a child to take with me. I’m not sure if others in the apartment were planning to evacuate, but I sure was. This wasn’t the first flooding incident in that neighborhood.
Then I noticed a large family of impoverished Hispanic women and children returning to an apartment further down toward the river. I ran down to warn them, in Spanish, of the river’s rising. The mothers were unmotivated to do anything to save themselves or their children. It seemed the government had harassed them and they just got their children back, and felt overwhelmed and traumatized by the events they’d been through. They could not handle any more, so they refused to worry about the flooding.
Then I saw a family next door to them, living in a more prosperous looking apartment. I asked them how they survived, and they said they just shut the door. I guess their apartment was waterproof! They were sitting in there relaxing and watching TV, undisturbed.
I ran back uphill and the river started rising again. I had done what I could to warn the women and try to save their children. Now it was time for me to save my own and get out of that neighborhood.
. . .
A dream of flooding indicates feeling overwhelmed and unable to cope. I believe this dream indicates that I feel overwhelmed by my blogging activities. One of the blogs is for families falsely accused by CPS, and I feel the apartment filled with traumatized women and children represents that blog. It is my most popular blog, hence, closer to the river. The other apartments could be symbols of other blogs I’ve been working on. I didn’t see a Geniyyah Healing blog, but it may have been there. I didn’t visit all the apartments.
The contrast between the two riverside apartments could indicate what it takes to be a successful blogger. I feel I’ve been part of the women/children group for many years. I started blogging in 2001, partly as a result of being traumatized by the 9/11 tragedy. I raised children from 1973 to the present time - that’s almost 35 years of being a mom. My youngest is now 17.
The waterproof apartment had three relaxing people in it. They were prosperous, with a plush white carpet on the floor. No children were there. I need to be part of that group of bloggers who are capable and competent because they have fewer constant worries in life.
The people I was visiting with uphill were other bloggers. None of them seemed ready to bail. But I’ve decided to work on multiple blogs because my interests in life are so diverse, and I’m having a hard time keeping all of them up to date. I’ve heard of at least one professional blogger who worked on eighteen blogs, updating them daily. Wow, I’ve got less blogs than that, and am lucky to get to some of them twice monthly. In the world of blogging, that’s completely unacceptable.
I’ll be working on this issue, privately, trying to do the right thing by keeping blogs up to date or eliminating blogs that don’t work for me. Geniyyah Healing won’t be one of those - I see my future as being deeply involved in spiritual healing issues, so expect to keep seeing me here.
