Raven Totem - Symbolism & Meaning

July 2, 2010

Raven means luck and balance and truth in flying. Raven cares only for what is accurate and verifiable. Any miscalculation in air travel could defy purpose; likewise you who relate with raven can carefully calculate your adventures and hone your success in material matters, or spiritual.

The luck component is a free-flying success in all things. Be not afraid, for raven can cure your ills and bring you love, and joy, and peace. It isn’t hard to find luck with raven as your totem be it for a day or a week, or time beyond.

Raven guards secrets in your soul, secrets beyond comprehension. There’s no need to be afraid, with raven. Though you fly high, you land safely. You have clarity of vision, to see around you, to find what you need in this life.

Raven is a symbol of clear sight, freedom, the ability to fly high and overcome obstacles, and joy, and peace.

I Found “The Secret”!

September 7, 2007

Tonight I’m alone - something I’m not used to. I have been a mom to minor children for over 34 years now. But my youngest is 17, and all the others are adults living elsewhere.

My boyfriend, Bob, went to bed in his van outside at about 7pm tonight, and Aaron (the 17-year-old) is spending the night with a friend. So here I am, alone, and I decided I wanted to watch The Secret. The problem was, The Secret was lost. (Does this sound familar?)

I knew my teenage son had watched it a few times, so I looked in his bedroom since I knew it wasn’t in my living room. I couldn’t find it, so I phoned him at his friend’s home.

“Look in the stack of games on top of my TV,” he suggested.

“I’ve looked through them,” I said.

“You have?” He sounded surprised that I’d been checking out his bedroom. His bedroom was decently straightened up, so it wasn’t too scary in there tonight.

“It isn’t there,” I said.

“Well, I can come home tomorrow and help you look for it,” he said, “but think positively! You can find it.” Apparently he’s learned some lessons from his viewing of The Secret.

I liked his suggestion and did some positive affirmations. “I AM finding The Secret. I HAVE The Secret.” Then I decided to use my psychic powers and get a vision of the DVD, to experience the environment it was in. I saw it in a box, packed and stored away.

I went back into Aaron’s room. Now despite how nice the rest of the room looks tonight, the closet is intimidating - packed with clutter and boxes that should have been sorted through five years ago, though I didn’t have the energy for it then. I decided to leave it for tomorrow.

But the feeling persisted. I wanted to watch The Secret tonight! So I used my psychic powers again and this time saw it inside a box, facing the front of the box.

This time I went into Aaron’s room and moved the clothing rack he has his clean school clothes on. This is right in front of the closet because the actual closet is way too cluttered and full for clothing to be hung!

I found The Secret in the second box I looked into - and it was exactly where I had visioned it to be - facing the front side of the box. I was amazed, and knew I had to share this experience with you.

So I watched The Secret tonight. I got a lot of positive feelings and inspirations from it, and before long I knew that for me, the best way to watch The Secret is with my journal on my lap so I can jot down any inspirations that come to me.

A few words about who I am… Geniyyah, age 55, working at a small restaurant, living for the last 8 years in the cabin in the mountains I manifested for my life, enjoying my spare time with a wonderful man I manifested for my life, deliriously happy, a writer of novels, a blogger and reader and web designer.

Prosperity Book Review: The Science of Getting Rich, by Wallace D. Wattles

February 10, 2007

Every person naturally wants to become all that they are capable of becoming. This desire to realize innate possibilities is inherent in human nature; we cannot help wanting to become all that we can be. Success in life is becoming what you want to be.

- Wallace D. Wattles

Wallace D. WattlesThe Science of Getting Rich, originally published in 1910, was Wallace D. Wattles’ statement on what we now call manifesting abundance. Currently popularized by The Secret, an Australian movie featuring experts in the art of creating wealth, manifesting has become big business on the internet and in books. Wattles’ early work is substantiated by information put forth by theoretical physicists in another popular movie, What The Bleep Do We Know. There are many experts these days teaching what manifesting is, how to do it, and why it is possible.

I first read The Science of Getting Rich last year, and I’m re-reading it now. The principles put forth in the book lead us to prosperity consciousness, and need steady review to be mastered. The book is simple — consisting of seventeen very short chapters — and since there is no longer a copyright on books written so long ago, the book is available for reading free, right here on the internet. You can use Google to find it or go straight to The Science of Getting Rich Network where you will be able to sign up for a free book and newsletter.

In The Science of Getting Rich, Wallace insists that you can get rich, if anyone else can, in your current location and job. He doesn’t recommend moving or changing jobs right away. Instead he says that anyone who follows the steps in his book will, without a doubt, get rich. To understand the steps you must realize that everything is made from a “universal raw material”, the supply of which is inexhaustible. This formless stuff is intelligent and alive, and “always impelled toward more life”. It responds to our needs. By our ability to create thought forms in this universal raw substance, we can bring into being anything we want for our life.

Of course there’s more to it. We must deal with others fairly, giving everyone more ‘use value’ than we take from them in cash value. There’s absolutely no need to cheat anyone in order to get rich because there’s plenty of the “universal raw material” to create wealth for everyone. And we must be grateful for everything we’re manifesting, even before we get it.

Wallace D. Wattles lived from 1860 to 1911. Though he lived in poverty most of his life, in his later years he indeed got rich, showing us it can be done and that he knew how to do it. He wrote a few other books including The Science of Being Well, Health Through New Thought and Fasting, and The Science of Being Great.
